Description of Work:This Research Study Nurse position will recruit, screen, enroll, and follow eligible participants on research protocols. They will obtain informed consent from potential participants prior to any protocol-related procedures and according to GCP and UNC Global Clinical Trail Unit SOPs. They will obtain and document all protocol required activities, evaluations, and procedures at each visit while also ensuring all required lab specimens are obtained, labeled, and route appropriately. This individual will determine if there are any AEs, SAEs, or EAEs and communicate these finds via SOPs. This position must wear personal protective equipment provided and observe proper precautions at all times.
Education and Experience:Minimum Education and Experience:
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of experience in the area of specialization.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Nursing degree and license preferred, other clinical lab degree or EMT license considered
At least 1 year of experience working in a clinical or research study setting is strongly preferred
Prior experience in the research setting valued
Spanish speaking language skills highly desired.
