Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry
Southern Illinois University School of Medicine (“SIUMed”) seeks an Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychiatry in Springfield, Illinois. Required Qualifications: M.D. or equivalent degree. Must have graduated from an accredited residency training program, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Psychiatry. Illinois licensure to practice medicine before beginning employment. This position has been designated as security sensitive and employment is contingent upon the result of a criminal background investigation. Responsibilities: Teaching Clinical Psychiatry in the Department of Psychiatry with an appointment to the Division of Adult Psychiatry and Southern Illinois University's Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Will serve as a member of the SIU FQHC group practice and provide psychiatric care to developmentally disabled patients in Springfield and Sangamon County. Provide training to other physicians and residents. Will provide medical care to patients at Memorial Medical Center, 701 N. 1st Street, Springfield, IL; HSHS St. John's Hospital, 800 E. Carpenter Street, Springfield, IL; SIU Adult Psychiatry Clinic, 319 E. Madison Street, Springfield, IL; SIU Center for Family Medicine, 300 West Oak Street, Carbondale, IL. Full-time position. Regular hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
