Minimum Requirements Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field of study with a minimum of three years of directly related experience.ORHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a State or Federal accrediting organization with a minimum of seven years of experience in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related area.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to work independently or as a team memberDetail-oriented with the ability to work efficiently under pressureExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databasesPreferred
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in related field of study with one year of applicable experience.
  • Experience in construction management/project management preferred; PMP Certification/CHC Certification preferred; Local Construction Market Experience is a plus
Responsibilities The Facilities Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Project Manager(s) in providing, planning, programming, design and construction management to support AU and AU Health. The duties include, but are not limited to:
    Support the Project Manager in planning and programming expertise for University/Medical Center clinical and administrative programs; Provide accurate construction estimates and schedules for proposed projectsSupport the Project Manager in coordinating the design of small, routine and large, complex University/Medical Center projects including conceptual design, design development and projects specifications to ensure satisfactory compliance with clinical, operational and user needs in accordance with Regulatory Codes and guidelines including, but not limited to DCH, OSHA, NFPA, TJC and AIASupport the Project Manager in providing construction management services for small, routine and large, complex Lump Sum Bid, Design-Build and Time and Material Cost plus renovation and construction projects; Conduct regular project progress meetings and site inspections to facilitate construction and ensure the work is in accordance with specifications, drawings and schedules; Monitor budget vs. actual expenditures during construction, notifying the Project Manager of potential problemsProvide assistance to the Project Manager for direction to consultant, contractors and vendors through all phases of projects, including, but not limited to design, construction, commissioning and close out phases and verifies compliance with contact specifications and drawingsProvide Engineering assistance for architectural, civil, structural, electrical and mechanical engineering requirements for maintenance problems or construction projectsProvides trouble-shooting expertise to assist maintenance personnel in the continuing operation of the University/Medical Center facilitiesRecommends approval of project invoices submitted by contractors and vendors to the Project Manager and Director of ConstructionReview with the Project Manager changes to the project scope as initiated by the architect, engineer, contractor or user groupPrepare and monitors interim Life Safety Measures, Pre-Construction Risk Assessments and Infection Control Risk AssessmentsEnforces all department policies and procedures with support from the Project ManagerPerform all other related duties/tasks as assigned
