Description of primary duties and responsibilities::Fayetteville State University is a constituent institution of the University of North Carolina System. The Broadwell College of Business and Economics (BCBE) is accredited by AACSB International and provides an attractive and collegial academic environment with a strong focus on teaching, research, service, and community relationships.
The Broadwell College of Business and Economics at Fayetteville State University seeks to hire a faculty member for a 9-month, tenure-track position in Entrepreneurship beginning Fall 2021. Selected candidate will exhibit a desire to teach at the undergraduate level but may also be required to teach graduate courses. Engagement in scholarly research is required. The selected candidate will help develop and expand an existing concentration and minor in Entrepreneurship and enhance its visibility on campus and in the community.
Description of Work Continued::Specific responsibilities will be dependent upon the individual selected, but the successful candidate will be expected to:
•Teach classes in entrepreneurship and related disciplines with a normal teaching load of three courses per semester
•Develop a strong research program involving collaboration with students, faculty and perform scholarly activities consistent with rank
•Contribute to ongoing programmatic development of the Broadwell College of Business and Economics
•Serve as an academic advisor and/or student organization advisor for undergraduate students, guiding their professional and personal development as well as their academic progress
•Participate fully in AACSB accreditation efforts
•Actively participate in departmental, college, university, community, and professional service consistent with the goals of the Broadwell College of Business and Economics.
• Doctoral degree in Entrepreneurship or an Entrepreneurship-related field from an AACSB accredited university
• Substantial entrepreneurial experience
• University-level teaching experience in Entrepreneurship
• Evidence, either by record or potential, of ability to produce scholarly publications in the field of Entrepreneurship
Appropriate academic credentials with entrepreneurial experience.
