Advertised Job Summary:

The Research Associate for Digital Infrastructure will serve as a researcher in the areas of MSG for Future Vertical Lift, digital transformation, controls engineering, and Information technology. The research associate’s main role will involve working with the Center for Predictive Maintenance in the McNair Center on a project related to MSG for Future Vertical Lift. Supplemental Responsibilities will include working directly with Faculty, Staff and students at the McNair Center to solve problems and conduct research that relate to digital systems and data analytics. The research associate provides technical assistance with execution of research and scheduling of research activities related to digital infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics/digital transformation related field and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in data collection and analytics
Experience with IT Infrastructure
Experience with Controls Engineering
Experience with electrical engineering
Experience with PLCs

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Excellent analytical skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize and prioritize tasks, make critical decisions, and to operate efficiently in a research environment with rapidly evolving needs. Strong interpersonal skills.
