The Associate Director (AD) of Counseling Services/Training Director provides collaborative leadership and administration at the University of Denver Health and Counseling Center (HCC) and is responsible for coordinating and supervising all the training programs, including the APA- approved Doctoral Internship program in Psychology. Along with the doctoral internships program that is a part of the Graduate School of Professional Psychologys consortium, this position oversees the postdoctoral residencies and graduate student practicum training programs. This includes leading the selection and ranking processes, communicating with prospective trainees; coordinating the new-trainee/intern orientation; overseeing didactic and clinical training; coordinating with the academic programs of all the trainees; providing and eliciting evaluations; coordinating with the consortium director and assuring compliance with APA accreditation. This position also supervises post-doctoral residents, doctoral interns, graduate student trainees, and counseling practicum positions, along with other licensed clinicians on staff. This position works with the HCC Counseling Services Director, the Counseling Services Clinical Director and the Executive Director of the HCC in developing and implementing policy consistent with institutional need and ethical professional practice. Additionally, this position provides direct counseling/psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and outreach/prevention services to DU students. This position also assists with the development and implementation of equity and anti-oppression initiatives.

The mission of the University of Denvers Health & Counseling Center is to enhance overall student well-being and success through inclusive physical and mental healthcare, prevention, education, advocacy, and recovery support services. The HCC is an on-campus facility with two counseling locations open 8am-5pm M-F with evening hours until 7pm two to three evenings a week during the academic year. The HCC provides a wide range of on-site medical and mental health services, along with advocacy, recovery and health promotion for the whole campus community. Required Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of Colorado as a psychologist (or license eligible within three months).
• Experience with APA accredited internship programs; supervision experience with doctoral interns, postdocs and graduate students.
• 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
• Experience providing short-term counseling/psychotherapy.
• Experience with crisis intervention.
• Demonstrated commitment to the principles of Inclusive Excellence and an understanding of equity and cultural humility-based counseling principles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience in a leadership role.
• 5 years of experience supervising trainees.
• 3 years experience in university/college counseling center or similar clinical environment.

The salary grade number for this position is 13.

Salary Range
The salary range for the position is $87,000 - $94,000/annually.
