Student Clerical Assistant (Part-time) - Center for Child and Human Development

The Student Clerical Assistant (SCA) will assist the Executive Director for the U.S. Afghan Women's Council or her designee. The duties will include, but are not limited to, receiving and screening telephone calls and correspondence, performing simple research tasks, maintaining social media accounts, filing, copying and scanning paperwork into our digital library as well as assistance with special projects as assigned. Additionally, the SCA will:

  • Assist with special projects as assigned
  • Maintain social media accounts by demonstrating knowledge of web-based search tools, social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Demonstrate competency in the use Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.

Under the supervision of the Center's Director, the SCA will perform routine/repetitive tasks with minimal responsibility; training will be provided training where necessary. The SCA will interact with Faculty, staff and department affiliates.

  • Minimum academic level: High School.
  • Student must have knowledge of web-based search tools, social media including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to maintain existing accounts.
  • Demonstrated competency in the use Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel.
  • Experience, technical knowledge, or previous training preferred but not required.
