Description This position is within the Maintenance and Operations Department of Facilities Management and will work at the GSU Dunwoody Campus.  

 

The Dunwoody Campus is located at:

2101 Womack Rd.

Dunwoody, GA 30338

 

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

                       

Duties: 

Skilled Trades Workers will perform semi-skilled tasks in various trades. Specific duties will vary depending on the trade area the employee is assigned to work in. Employees will clean work areas, sweep, collect trash, move supplies and equipment, and assist other skilled craftsman perform routine repair and maintenance tasks. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

 

  • Performs entry level maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC, heating equipment and plumbing.
    • Paints interior and exterior walls and ceilings with brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Cleans and prepares surfaces  to be painted, using sandpaper, steel wool, scrapers or soap and water.Perform light carpentry work, repairs doors and locks. 

     

     

    Assists electrician in chancing light bulbs & ballasts

    QualificationsTechnical or vocational degree in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area; or a high school diploma or GED and one year experience in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrical trade area. A valid Georgia driver's license is required.
