The Human Resource (HR) Consultant acts as a trusted partner with theleaders of the assigned business unit and provides consultation to managers,faculty and staff in the areas of employee/labor relations, compensation,employment, talent & performance management, and other related humanresources matters. The HR Consultant isutilized for their knowledge of human resource policies, procedures, employmentlaw, and talent development in order to maximize the business units’results.Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or other related field. Minimum 5 years’ progressively responsible experience in Human Resources
- Previous experience in a unionized environment strongly preferredPrevious experience with recruitment and hiring of healthcare workers preferredExperience in policy and/or program developmentExperience in providing an expert advisory and consultancy service to management and staff on a wide range of complex human resource management matters.Experience with HRIS system preferredAbility to effectively work with all levels of the organization (employees to senior management)Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work to achieve goals and meet deadlines, including dealing with competing demands and managing multiple projects and tasks.Excellent communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferredPHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP Certifications preferredEffective leadership skills
