Associate Professor/Professor- Division of Trauma/Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery
The Division of Trauma/Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery at Augusta University is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Associate Professor or Professor level, to join our eight (8) member Surgeon group. Candidates should be board-certified or -eligible in General Surgery, with additional fellowship training in Trauma and/or Surgical Critical Care. We are looking for Trauma/Acute Care Surgeons who would be a good fit for our team, who wish to work hard in a supportive environment, and develop an academic career. We cover Trauma, the Trauma and Surgical Intensive care units (the latter shared with Anesthesia), Emergency General Surgery, as well as Elective General Surgery cases at Augusta State Medical Prison. We are particularly interested in candidates interested in building an elective general surgical practice, which can be facilitated by an ambulatory surgery center.
Candidates should be board-certified or -eligible in General Surgery, with additional fellowship training in Trauma and/or Surgical Critical Care.

The final candidate will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary coursework in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
