The Director of Admissions for the Master of Accounting Program is responsible for student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment for the Master of Accounting program. The Master of Accounting program encompasses both the on-campus and online versions of the degree. This position will manage an organization of 3-5 staff members and multiple temporary workers.
The Director sets the admissions strategy under the supervision of the Managing Director and Associate Dean for the Master of Accounting program, ensuring consistency and efficiency across both versions of the Master of Accounting degree. The Director will create standard metrics to review the department’s success, leading data management and accurate reporting to the various constituents within and outside the University. The Director will manage the department’s budget, inclusive of the program’s scholarship budget and awards. The Director will work collaboratively with many colleagues across the School, including leaders within the Master of Accounting Program, MBA Program, Undergraduate Business Program, UNC main campus constituents, and other departments.

Director will be part of a very entrepreneurial environment and should expect frequent change. The candidate must have a strong drive for results in a very dynamic environment. Flexibility and dealing with ambiguity are critical.Educational Requirements:
A Master’s degree is required. Master’s degree in business administration or higher education administration is preferred.Qualifications and Experience:
-5 years of academic leadership and/or student services experience in a university setting
-Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
-Strong communication skills, including writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
-Comfort working with data and technology
-Desire and ability to work in a traditional campus and online campus environment
-Customer service mentality, serving prospective students, current students, and employers
-Outstanding work ethic, commitment, and can-do attitude
-Ability to travel (5-10%) and work occasional weekends and evenings
-Experience in Admissions in a higher education environment
-Knowledge of the Master of Accounting degree and graduate business education
