Position Description:Position reports to the Head Equipment Manager for Football operations. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: issuing equipment to student athletes and football staff; assisting with inventory of all football athletic equipment and apparel; proper fitting and maintenance of all sports equipment; inventory, distribution, and return of equipment utilized by student-athletes; laundry services and adhering to all Athletic and University policies, NCAA regulations and apparel/equipment contract terms. equipment. Responsible to maintain effective working relationships and communicate effectively and accurately.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalency.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Commitment to providing excellent customer service. Must possess the ability to establish and maintain productive and collaborative professional work relationships with coaches, student-athletes, department administrators, and staff. Effective follow up skills in prompt and courteous manner.
Attention to detail; computer skills, and ability to assist with inventory control, maintain proper storage and transportation based on the needs of the football program; and skill and ability to ensure that stored pieces of equipment/apparel are properly secure, maintained and available. Ability to adhere to manufactures’ guidelines/recommendation to prolong usability and preserve equipment safety. Knowledge of repairing equipment/apparel to maintain functionality and safety standards.
Required Licenses/Certifications:Valid NC Driver’s License
Special Physical and Mental Requirements:Ability to lift and move heavy objects on a regular basis.
Ability to work in inclement weather.
Ability to navigate stairs.
Ability to work under pressure and time sensitive deadlines.
