Department Summary:

UNT competes as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and C-USA. North Texas’ athletic programs are classified as NCAA Division I, the largest and highest division among all colleges and universities. The 46,000 square-foot Athletic Center located off South Bonnie Brae Street is the centerpiece of North Texas athletics. Athletics strives to conduct a competitive athletics program that promotes faculty, staff, student and community affiliation and participation with North Texas Athletics. Also, to provide facilities which attract the highest level of talent and allow student athletes to perform at the highest level in practice and in competition.

Position Summary:

Under direct supervision of the Director of Strength and Conditioning, the part-time Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the strength and conditioning program for assigned sport(s).

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: experience in strength and conditioning in an athletics program either as a volunteer, intern, graduate assistant, or post baccalaureate internship required. Previous experience coaching and/or playing at the NCAA Division IA level or professional level highly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

Required License / Registration / Certification:

CPR / AED certified
National Strength and Conditioning Assoc. – CSCS; or
Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Assoc. – CSCCa/SCCC

Work Schedule:

Varies as per assigned Sport(s) schedules which may include evenings, week-ends and Holidays
