Grants Pre-Award Coordinator
Coastal Carolina University seeks applications for the position of Grants Pre-Award Coordinator (Grants Coordinator II) in the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Services (OSPRS).
Serving as the university’s Pre-Award Coordinator, primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
1.Maintaining the database of interests and expertise to work with faculty and staff to identify external grant funding sources for research and scholarly activities;
2.Synthesizing sponsor guidelines to identify proposal requirements and providing comprehensive checklists and templates for use by proposal team members;
3.Reviewing, editing and providing feedback on grant application contents and supporting documents to assure proposals meet all sponsor guidelines prior to submission;
4.Assisting Principal Investigators with the development of grant budgets and accompanying justifications;
5.Completing university-related documentation, ensuring all materials required for a full submission are prepared and obtain institutional approvals prior to completing proposal submission;
6.Reviewing and updating information pertaining to changes in regulations, guidelines or requirements and procedures for local, state, federal and foundation sponsors;
7.Updating the OSPRS website to raise awareness of grant opportunities and provide resources for faculty and staff interested in seeking and/or applying for external funding;
8.Providing professional development opportunities for faculty, staff and other relevant groups on grant writing, funding proposal preparation and navigation of the university’s procedures and processes for submissions; and
9.Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree and business, personnel, grant-in-aid or public administration experience is required. Related experience working with grants or contracts for an education, nonprofit or government entity and two (2) years of experience with seeking and applying for grants in a university, nonprofit or government setting; experience with state, federal and foundation electronic grant application systems; familiarity with federal grant regulations, 2 CFR 200; and experience creating materials and delivering training to adult learners are preferred.

Grants Coordinator II (BE20/146749), full-time position with benefits. State pay band: 05. Normal work hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Must be flexible to meet occasional special scheduling needs of the University and available for limited daily or overnight travel.
