Job Details:The AACSB accredited E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Business Law at the Assistant/Associate Professor level beginning August 2021.
The individual hired for this position will be responsible for teaching, research, and service. This new colleague should have experience and expertise in teaching business law along with at least one more law elective at the undergraduate or MBA level. Electives may include commercial law, hospitality law, real estate law, marketing law, etc. The teaching load may include face-to-face, hybrid, or online delivery. In addition to teaching, active engagement in scholarly academic intellectual activities is required. The individual will also be responsible for advising undergraduate students, contributing to the assessment of student learning outcomes, and engaging in other service activities within the department, college, university, community, and profession. Our faculty are committed to excellence in teaching, research, service, and the integration of ideas, technologies, and developments within the discipline.
To be considered, candidates must have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school, a record of teaching excellence in higher education, and an active membership in a state bar association. Preference will be given to candidates with an LLM degree or another graduate degree in business or a related field, a record of publication in non-predatory peer reviewed Journals, and relevant professional experience. Applicants must have abilities, skills, and enthusiasm consistent with teaching excellence and instructional innovation.
