Position Description:
Center X is a community of educators, in the School of Education and Information Studies, working to transform public schooling to create a more just, equitable, and humane society. Under the general direction of the Project Director and Director of Business Administration in Center X, this position will serve as the Program Coordinator. The incumbent will manage, coordinate, and implement daily programmatic, financial, and administrative activities for the UCLA Mathematics project and Silver Giving Grant. The major responsibilities for the incumbent are: management of program activities including event management and coordination for on and off-site meeting, professional development initiatives, periodic support and coordination of extension course scheduling for professional development activities for teachers and maintain teacher/school recruitment information. They will also provide day-to-day monitoring of Program's/Project's financial activities and serve as liaison to school district personnel and teachers. The Program Coordinator is also responsible in representing the Project Director in various setting/meetings and supporting Center X-Wide events when necessary.
