LIGHTING DESIGN LECTURER SEARCH

The Department of Drama is establishing a search of qualified applicants for a position as part-time lecturer for Spring Quarter 2021 in the curriculum area of Lighting Design.
The department seeks applicants to teach a graduate level class in Light Plot Creation, 3d Plotting/Sectioning and Graphic Layouts. An MFA, or commensurate experience, in Drama/Theater Arts is required. At least 6 years' experience as a lighting designer is required. Compensation for the quarter will be approximately $6,200.00 total and is non-negotiable.
Candidates for this position must have strong graphic design sense, a mastery of Vectorworks Spotlight, along with 3rd party software such as Autoplot, Savvy JNC tools. Also, proficiency in 3d Sectioning 3d Modeling, 2d drafting and detailed 2d light plot creation. A mastery of Lightwright 6 with Vectorworks integration, and Adobe Acrobat is also required. A strong commitment to teaching, training, and working in a university environment. Candidates should show a demonstrated ability and commitment to work effectively with a diverse student population.
