A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health and Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) seeks qualified applications for Assistant or Associate Professor, Doctor of Physical Therapy program (DPT), on the Mesa, Arizona campus. This position reports to the DPT Program Director.

The assistant/associate professor will teach competently in residential entry-level DPT program as assigned; Service to the program, department, school, university, community and the Physical Therapy profession; Scholarship/research productivity to meet CAPTE requirements at minimum; Maintain current knowledge and clinical expertise in assigned topical areas; Collegial interaction with physical therapy faculty and all ATSU employees and students.

Responsibilities of the successful candidate will include teaching, scholarship, academic and research advising, clinical practice in the pro bono Center for Occupational and Physical Therapy, and service. Candidates must interact collegially with current faculty members and demonstrate willingness to work collaboratively with all ATSU employees. Additionally, they must be able to interact well with entry-level DPT students.

Preferred Skills and Experiences:

At least 5 years of clinical practice in acute care and/or cardiopulmonary setting, previous entry-level residential DPT program teaching experience, clinical practice experience, Specialty Certification from ABPTRFE, DPT degree, academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc) in related area, must demonstrate current knowledge and skills in area of teaching (didactic and laboratory), must be able and willing to teach physical therapy topics outside of specialty area, needs to demonstrate a defined area of scholarship/research productivity. Interest in additional teaching and mentoring in one of our ABPTRFE accredited Residency Programs desirable.
