Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant - Athletic Trainer on the Dahlonega campus. The Graduate Assistant will assists with medical coverage for UNG's 13 NCAA DII athletic teams. Serves as a preceptor in the Athletic Training Education Program.

Responsibilities
  • Medical coverage of practices, all games, and athletic training room.
  • Coordinate rehabilitation treatments for athletes.
  • Maintain proper medical documentation.
  • Preceptor in Athletic Training Education Program.
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer or Associate Director of Athletics.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from a CAATE accredited program.
  • Admission into UNG Graduate School.
  • BOC Certified.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED certifications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Georgia State Licensed Preferred.
  • Experience with clinical supervision of athletic training students preferred.
  • Experience with NCAA DII regulations preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
