Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Fitness Student Worker. This student will report to the Wellness Coordinator and be responsible for assisting with the overall function of the Fitness Center and all fitness-related programming and events.

  • Ensure the safety of all patrons
  • Orient patrons with equipment and etiquette
  • Clean and sanitize the Fitness Center
  • Circulate floor inspecting and straightening exercise equipment
  • Assist with promoting the Fitness Center and programs
  • Attend student and community events that allow the opportunity to market the Fitness Center and programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have a strong interest in fitness
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willing to obtain upon employment)
  • Experience exercising and familiarity in a fitness center environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds
  • Personal Training Certification is a plus

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker
