11-Jan-2021 Close All Job SummaryThe Athletics Department encourages applications for a Director of Player Development for Women's Soccer to join our team! Under the general direction of the Head Women’s Soccer Coach, this position performs a meaningful role in managing all aspects of soccer video analysis, soccer camp operations, and the development of student-athletes. This position will adhere to the principles of the Athletic Department’s Strategic Plan, including core values, and its policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac-12 Conference, and the NCAA.
This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program. This shall include adhering to the principles of the Athletic Department’s Mission Statement, Diversity and Inclusion Mission Statement, Core Values, Policies, and Procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Pac 12 Conference, and the NCAA.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will BePerformance Analysis/Video Support:
  • Provide oversight and management for all aspects of the sports video operations for women’s soccer. This will include film exchange, video capture, editing, production, equipment maintenance, and related support for coaches’ and student-athletes’ use.
  • Coordinate the scheduling and processing of videotape exchange with other schools.
  • Maintain a video library for all sports videos associated with the women’s soccer program.
  • Work closely with Director of Video on the provision of student video support for women’s soccer. Provide coaches and student-athletes with ongoing training and development of technical skills related to video programs. Work with Sports Medicine and Strength & Conditioning to track fitness tests, lactate, glycogen, and all performance analysis.
Camp Operations:
  • Plan, organize, advertise, oversee, and conduct all aspects of the women’s soccer camp program including hiring all camp staff.
  • Attend all monthly camp meetings associated with operating camp within university guidelines.
  • Oversee timely brochure planning and printing, website updates, and ongoing registration of interested camp clients. Follow-up with all camp details at the conclusion of each camp.
  • Set goals and track progress to grow camps. Update and manage camp website.
Other Duties Assigned by Head Coach:
  • Includes, but not limited to: Helping with on-campus recruiting, official and unofficial visits, game-day operations, practice management assistance and team travel. Helping with all day-to-day operations of the soccer program.
Community Outreach:
  • Develop, plan, and coordinate programs for student-athlete development and service activities such as various team functions, team-building programs, campus events, community outreach, and alumni relations.
What We Can Offer
  • The hiring pay range is $44,000.00-$48,000.00. Relocation is available within department guidelines. Additional Athletics benefits include: Athletic Event Tickets: Per Athletic Department Policy and NCAA regulations, Nike Elite Employee Benefit: Per Nike Elite Policy.

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Collegiate or professional playing or coaching experience.
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
What You Will Need
  • Excellent organizational aptitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret game and practice footage.
  • Proven ability to operate and understand digital video editing system.
What We Would Like You To Have
  • Experience with a NCAA Division I soccer program.
  • Experience operating residential, ID, and day soccer camps.
  • Experience using video editing software.
