Position Description:
Anderson Computing and Information Services (ACIS) provides comprehensive computer, communication, and information services to Anderson School faculty, students, and staff. These services include help desk and support services for desktop and laptop computing, network infrastructure, software development, and research and instructional support services.

As part of a helpdesk team incumbent provides support in hardware, software, operating system, and classroom technology. Provide helpdesk services to Anderson School faculty and staff and to the students enrolled in the various programs. Manage and monitor helpdesk ticketing system which tracks service requests, trouble tickets and classroom hot line calls. Responsible for review, oversight, re-assignment, re-prioritization, and escalation of outstanding team helpdesk tickets at the beginning and end of each shift. Troubleshoot laptop and desktop computer problems. Resolve routine computer, network and communication problems over the phone or perform service calls within the Anderson School building complex when appropriate. Assign, train, and dispatch student technicians to perform troubleshooting duties. Follow up with end users, track unresolved issues, and fully document problems and solutions. Evaluate and provide specifications for new laptop and desktop models, printers, software, and other computing equipment. Create how-to documentation and online training materials. Take part and lead project teams to improve Helpdesk processes. Become the lead and subject matter expert in specific technology areas and train other full-time and student technicians in those areas.
