Position Description:
Under the direction of the Senior Fund Manager, Supervisor, serve as Contract & Grant Analyst in the Fielding School of Public Health Research Support Office. Conducts a first review of all contracts and grants received for Dean's review and approval and verifies that budgets and proposal materials follow University and agency guidelines. Prepare and submit contracts and grants to federal, private, state and all other applicable agencies. Prepare budgets for federal, state, and numerous private agency proposals. Ensure that all information on proposals are based on University and agency guidelines; ensure usage of correct and most current University and agency forms. Ensure that submitted grant/contract proposals are processed in a timely manner.

Prepare and verify that budgets are correct and in compliance with University guidelines, from personnel cost, merit increases, supplies and services. Ensure that University forms are complete, appropriate signatures are obtained and submitted to the Office of Contract and Grant Administration (OCGA). Prepare and process forms for re-budgeting of grants/contracts; re-budget indirect costs, request no-cost time extensions, and prior approval to spend funds (RAS). Maintain proposal files and database of all submitted proposals.

Review notice of awards (new and continuation), verify funds awarded and confirm that the award(s) have been set up properly in accordance with University and funding agency guidelines. Assist with post award support, as approved by supervisor. Provide back-up pre-award support for department MSO's. Provide pre-award support for school-wide training and large, complex collaborative center programs, such as the development of budgets/budget justifications, collection and upload of proposal materials, and review of biosketches, in collaboration with other Research Support Office Staff.
