The UCLA Department of Classics invites applications for a Visiting Lecturer position to teach one course in the Spring academic term of 2021, pending Dean's budget approval. The position is open to broadly trained Classicists who are able to teach an upper division lecture course entitled "Ovid and the Consequences" on Ovid's poetry and reception. The course is capped at 60 students.

Applicants are required to hold a PhD, and preference will be given to those who have demonstrated effectiveness in lecture courses. The department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through teaching and research.”
