Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:

UNCG’s Division of Enrollment Management is responsible for facilitating the recruitment, retention, and graduation of a talented and diverse student population. Our primary focus is to design, implement, and provide the services necessary to promote student success throughout the entire student lifecycle. Enrollment Management embraces data-driven decision-making and process improvement to strategically support and enhance services and resources for students. The Division of Enrollment Management consists of Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, and the University Registrar.

Position Summary:

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management. This includes complex calendar management, handling phone calls and messaging, greeting visitors, making appropriate referrals, coordinating domestic and international travel, various meetings including agendas and logistics management and preparation and/or revision of documents/reports. This position serves as a liaison with various departments as well as external contacts and with university leadership units. This position will regularly handle sensitive information and requires maintaining strict high level of confidentiality and discretion. This position will also require adaptability and openness to change as the needs of the organization change.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalency and three years of progressive responsible administrative/office management experience; or graduation or associate’s degree in secretarial science, business administration, or related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

We are seeking a candidate with experience in a fast-paced office environment who possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, keen attention to detail and organizational skills, reliability, adaptability, ability to take initiative, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, GCal, GDrive, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
