  • Position Description:

    Thisposition is instrumental in the growth, maintenance, and development of theVolunteer Services and Federal Work Study Programs. This function remains a stakeholder in the development and advancement ofthe UTMC customer service culture by providing complimentary assistance forstaff and UTMC customers.



    • High School education required. Associate degree or 3-5 years like experience preferred.

    Knowledge and Abilities:

    • Proven abilities to effectively present in front of large groups.
    • Prior direct customer service experience in hospital or hospitality required.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of general office practices and procedures including but not limited to MS Office software applications Word, Excel and Power Point.
    • Knowledge of web management applications helpful. Experience with customer satisfaction Press Ganey data and Volgistics software applications preferred.
    • Proven ability to implement new programs independently.

    Communication and other skills:

    • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Willingness to go above and beyond the service expectation of the customer and work flexible hours.

    Working Conditions:Job requires working on a computer terminal and other phone equipment as well as conducting training sessions on foot for extended periods. No exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Stressful emergency situations may arise. May be expected to work alone. Hours and days may vary depending on business needs.
