Position Summary:The Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of North Carolina is seeking a full time Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to work with faculty and staff as clients in the Department of Emergency Medicine. The Clinical Social Worker is responsible for the providing psychiatric counselling and treatment when necessary including but not limited to giving a psychiatric diagnosis, providing supportive therapy and providing a bridge to university resources for employees. Candidates with LCSW-A will be considered. This position is 40 hours per week with variable work hours depending on client faculty and staff schedules.
Educational Requirements:Master’s degree in Social Work and licensed in the state of North Carolina.
Qualifications and Experience:One year of professional social work experience, preferably in emergency and crisis situations.
