Position Summary:The Implementation Specialist serves as a project leader on funded research project(s) at the National Implementation Research Network at the Frank Porter Graham (FPG) Child Development Institute at UNC-Chapel Hill. The Implementation Specialist delivers a range of implementation supports to support effective implementation and scaling of evidence-based programs and innovations, engages in implementation research, and provides leadership on project(s).
Educational Requirements:Doctoral degree in Early Childhood, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Public Health or related disciplines; or a Master’s degree in related field and three years of relevant experience; or a Bachelor’s in a related field and seven years of relevant experience.
Qualifications and Experience:Experience related to using implementation science and active implementation frameworks to support implementing agencies to operationalize innovations, develop implementation teams, build infrastructure supports, and develop enabling contexts to support the use of evidence to benefit children, youth, and families. Demonstrated experience in technical assistance, written communication, public speaking and presentation, knowledge of research, and qualitative and quantitative evaluation methodologies. Content knowledge and professional experience working in a K-12 education system is preferred.
