Job Description:

Position Tasks
Assist in the development, preparation, and presentation of community resource development (CRD) education programs for staff and community partners;
Identify target audiences and locations for the delivery of education programs;
Develop, design, and distribute promotional materials for programs such as flyers, CRD website, and other audiovisual content;
Maintain and provide guidance on social media accounts, develop, review and upload content for Instagram, Facebook, and Youtube where applicable, and contribute articles for outlets including blogs, newsletters, or newspapers;
Provides administrative support for CRD agents and CIVIC Leadership team as needed;
Research CRD best practices, nationally and internationally;
Attend team meetings to discuss issues related to planning programs;
Perform related duties as assigned.

50% Program development and implementation
15% Engagement activities

25% Administrative duties
10% Other

Monday – Friday, 15-20 hours per week, between 8:00am-4:30pm with some after hours and weekend work, as needed.

Expected Salary:

$16/hourly

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in education, sustainability, social work, political science, non-profit management, business, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of resource conservation programs and issues
Knowledge of community programs, resources, and services available to assist businesses and individuals
Knowledge of educational process
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
Experience in marketing/social media
Multiple language (Spanish) is a plus
