Tracking Code2098 Job DescriptionThe Lex Lab at Boston University conducts research on how deaf children learn ASL vocabulary and how language deprivation/exposure affects ASL vocabulary acquisition. The primary language of communication in the lab is ASL. The Lab Coordinator recruits and manages relationships with deaf and hearing families for the lab. Lead all aspects of research sessions in the lab with deaf children and adults. Manage the administrative functions of the lab. Hire, train, and supervise a team of research assistants (students). Film and edit ASL materials.
Required Skills- Bachelor's Degree Fluency in ASL (American Sign Language) and written English
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite (work and PowerPoint)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid US Driver’s license 1 to 3 years related experience
