The Medical Education Office (MEO) provides oversight to the M.D. programs design, implementation of the curriculum and assessments. The MEO also manages all 1st and 2nd year courses and several 3rd and 4th year electives and programs. The MEOs broad scope requires faculty and staff to interact with students across all 4 years of medical school. The Program Manager manages the Academy of Medical Educator (AME) program, supports the Assistant Dean of Curriculum and Instructional Design, Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program and provides partial support to the Assistant Dean of Enrichment. The Enrichment Office manages the VSLO program and supports learning experiences for medical students that enhance the curriculum and cultivate professional competencies in global health, research, and service learning opportunities. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills, multitasking abilities, problem solving skills, is detail oriented, and can work as part of a team.

The Program Manager will:

  • provide general oversight of the AME, Instructional Design and VSLO program operations, plan and schedule meetings, and work collaboratively with faculty and staff
  • act as administrative contact for the AME, Instructional Design and VSLO programs and ensure continuity across courses and programs
  • collaborate with Assistant Deans to prepare communications and course materials
  • efficiently coordinate logistical requirements to ensure smooth processes
  • propose quality improvement initiatives in administration and information delivery
  • work independently, take initiative, and follow up on tasks in a timely manner
  • manage faculty, students and programs and problem solve issues
  • provide administrative support to the Assistant Dean of Curriculum and Instructional Design and the Assistant Dean of Enrichment
  • create new systems
  • possess organization , attention to detail, multitasking, and good communication skills
  • have strong interpersonal skills and can work with students, faculty, and school administrators
  • work as part of a larger team and provide support as requested by office manager and faculty;
  • manage questions and concerns with a positive demeanor
  • possess good writing skills

Required Skills

  • expertise with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel particularly), Outlook, Qualtrix, and Blackboard (can be trained on this one)
  • bachelor's degree and 5-8 years' experience preferred
