Responsible for the overall strategic direction for ACC's Salesforce CRM Platform in conjunction with our solutions delivery strategy, IT strategies, and overall college strategies as directed and specified by the AVP, Solutions Delivery. The Director will also be responsible for the overall design, development, security, performance, governance, stability, and operations of the platform.Description of Duties and TasksEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Expert knowledge of Salesforce.org and Salesforce HEDA architecture. Salesforce platform, APEX programming, salesforce configuration, salesforce security model. AppExchange applications. Technical background in OOPS, programming languages and web-based applications. Knowledge of data migration & integration tools and methodologies. APIs & Web Services CRM migration knowledge. Knowledge of SDLC processes and tools, Iterative Design & Prototyping (Agile). Experience preparing technical specifications, detailed design documents and developing test cases. Solid understanding of CRM/PRM capabilities and functional areas.SkillsMust possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.
Maintaining an established work schedule and providing on call direction as needed to resolve computer-related problems. Effectively using interpersonal and communications skills, including tact and diplomacy. Effectively using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow-through. Efficiently meeting deadlines, schedules, and target dates. Effectively supervising, leading, and delegating tasks and authority. Maintaining confidentiality of work-related information and materials. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Experienced in development methodologies and software delivery lifecycle.Technology Skills
Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software. Use query and control languages, programming languages, and database systems.Required Work Experience
Seven or more years related work experience with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving, while owning stakeholder communication to all level in the college. Five years' experience working in a similar capacity successfully managing complex and high risk programs end-to-end. Experience working in an agile environment. Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams. Experience leading projects and programs in the following areas is highly desirable:
- Business Intelligence Implementations
- Salesforce implementations
- Cloud native web development
- Machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Master data management, data classification and data integration
Bachelor's degree or higher in information systems, computer science or related field.Special RequirementsLicenses/Certifications; Other
Salesforce Administrator (ADM201) certification required. Salesforce Developer (DEV 401) and/or Salesforce Advanced Administrator (ADM301) certification preferred. Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel in the Austin area as required.Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.Safety
This is a benefit eligible position funded through January 31, 2022 and is subject to renewal. ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty Only).
