To support the college's new enterprise information management strategy and have a hand in building a new data integration hub from the ground up to support a robust and meaningful business intelligence platform that serves the whole college.Description of Duties and TasksEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Facilitates the app-to-app transfer of data via a SQL-based data hub, including data element mapping, design, development, testing, and documentation.
  • Ensures data accuracy and quality from end to end in complex ETL/ELT processes.
  • Identifies and vets source application data for transfer to the data hub and subsequent warehousing and analysis.
  • Maintains robust documentation of data mappings and logic between applications and the data hub.
  • Works closely with other BI and IT teams to maintain an accurate and efficient information ecosystem.
  • Identifies opportunities for process and quality improvement in the data hub.
  • KnowledgeMust possess required knowledge and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.


    Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases. Experience with data management and ETL/ELT processes in a high volume, near-real-time data scenario. Strong knowledge of best practices and principles behind building and maintaining a data integration hub. Understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.SkillsMust possess required skills and be able to explain and demonstrate, with or without reasonable accommodations, that the essential functions of the job can be performed.

    Use a variety of spreadsheet, word processing, database, and presentation software. Use query and control languages, program, deal with network servers, and provide technical support.Required Work Experience


  • Three years related work experience.
  • Preferred Work Experience


    Three or more years of experience working with enterprise-level data integration, relational databases, data warehousing, data hubs, etc., experience with Informatica or other iPaaS or cloud-based enterprise tools a plus.Required Education


  • Bachelor's degree.

    Valid Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation for travel in the Austin area as required.Other Preferred Qualifications


    Experience using SAS, JavaScript, SQL, Visual Basic, Excel formulas, or other tools used for reporting.Physical Requirements


    Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.Safety

    This is a benefit eligible position funded through January 31, 2022 and is subject to renewal. The College is unable to support candidates who require sponsorship to work in the United States.ACC Benefits OverviewFull-time Faculty and Staffing Table employees who work in full-time and/or part-time positions at the College are eligible for ACC medical benefits effective the first of the month after their first 60 days of employment. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance, short and long term disability, retirement plans and AD&D.

    ACC does not participate in Social Security. ACC participates in the Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) and the Optional Retirement Program (ORP-Faculty Only). Part-time and Hourly employees participate in the ACC Money Purchase Plan (ACCMPP) as a retirement program required by Federal law.
