The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Miami's School of Communication is seeking applications for an Assistant Professor in Intercultural Communication. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Communication or related field. Successful candidates should have a strong research agenda and publication record focusing on intercultural communication, multicultural communication, and/or cultural diversity. Secondary areas of interest can include health communication, organizational communication, or public advocacy. Successful candidates will use empirical methodologies in their research and have demonstrated competencies with mixed methods research. Candidates should be able to teach quantitative and/or qualitative methods at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Preference will be given to applicants with potential for interdisciplinary research and grant acquisition. Demonstrated excellence in teaching is essential.
