Job Summary

The Graphic Design intern assists with the creation of marketing communication campaigns that promote College programs to external and internal audiences. Designers work closely with clients, writers/editors, photographers, print vendors and digital staff to produce materials that convey the College’s brand and the client’s message in a way that is visually appealing, graphically correct and adheres to college standards, regardless of the medium. They will assist with production, client satisfaction, archiving and building relationships across multiple teams.

Required Qualifications

Experience with current design software for Macintosh platforms
Knowledge of pre-press production, digital technology and printing techniques
Ability to juggle multiple jobs, work quickly and meet deadlines
Good communication and organization skills
Courses or employment in graphic design
Examples of design work in a portfolio

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Microsoft office suites, outlook and email
An understanding of marketing campaign elements
Involvement in graphic design or marketing field via jobs, clubs, online communities, etc.
