Description of primary duties and responsibilities::

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate all student and temporary employment actions to include new hires, rehires, and assignment revisions. The Specialist will apply Federal, State and University guidelines when approving hiring requests and will provide routine and technical assistance to hiring managers of student and temporary employees. The Specialist will ensure compliance with Federal, State and University regulations, and maintain required employment records. Additionally, the Specialist will be responsible for new employee job offers and onboarding, including Form I-9 and E-Verify requirements.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements::

Graduation from a four year college or university; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications::

-Knowledge of policies and procedures related to employment programs.
-One or more years of experience reviewing and processing employment hiring recommendations for non-permanent employees.
-Experience educating clients/customers and staff on employment processes.
-Experience utilizing office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) in an employment role.
-Experience with Form I-9 processing and E-Verify.
