Occupational Summary

Duke’s Center for Health Policy and Inequalities Research (CHPIR) and Duke Global Digital Health Science Center is looking for a Project Coordinator for the grant-funded Project STYLE 2.0 (Strength Through Youth Livin’ Empowered) and the PCORI grant-funded Greenlight (GL) Plus Study.

The goal of STYLE 2.0 is to improve HIV care continuum outcomes among HIV-positive young Black men who have sex with men (YBMSM) in the Triangle region of North Carolina and the Columbia region of South Carolina.

The Greenlight (GL) Plus Study is a multisite randomized control study being conducted at primary care offices from 6 different institutions across the U.S. Currently enrolling 900 parent-infant dyads (English- and Spanish-speaking) and will compare Greenlight (control), a behavioral intervention focusing on nutrition, physical activity, media use, and sleep as compared to Greenlight Plus (intervention) which includes the above materials plus a digital technology intervention aimed at supporting family goal-setting and behavior change during well-child checks throughout the first 2 years of life.

For STYLE 2.0 the Project Coordinator will help with intervention tracking/fidelity monitoring along with manual development, evaluation and dissemination activities, and content development/uploading monitoring to the project developed STYLE 2.0 app. On the Greenlight project a coordinator is needed to manage study participants within the digital technology intervention, manage bug tracking within technology and report bugs as they occur, and build modules including goal setting, messaging, and Qualtrics surveys for the project.

The Project Coordinator will spend approximately 50% of their time on STYLE 2.0 and 50% time on Greenlight.

Responsibilities:

    Implement and coordinate systems designed to monitor the collection, storing, cleaning and dissemination of data related to STYLE 2.0 Clean and compile data collected in systems such as Qualtrics and Excel for STYLE 2.0 data collectionMaintain liaison with faculty members, practicing professionals and representatives of related projects to coordinate the collection and dissemination of related data. This includes working with STYLE 2.0 study sites to ensure access to medical record reviews for data collection Prepare reports for team case conferences for STYLE 2.0 as well as local evaluation analysisCreate content and maintain posting to STYLE 2.0 app Manage participants within the GL study by ensuring messages are sent, send manual texts when needed, respond to unexpected responses when necessary
    Manage issue/bug tracking for GL study by checking weekly process logs, coordinating documentation for issuesResponsible for resolving GL issues to ensure they are completed and documented appropriatelyMonitor GL database reports regularly for accuracyCoordinate development GL modules including behavioral intervention goals, messages, and Qualtrics surveys, and ensure proper communication with REDCap and PromptLiaison with GL study stuff and Digital Health teamAttend/plan and take notes at meetings as neededPerform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education and Experience: Work requires communication and analytical skills normally acquired through a 4-year college education, preferably in a related discipline (e.g., nutrition, health education, epidemiology, sociology, psychology, social work, or public health). Work requires a general knowledge of research methods, procedures and activities normally acquired through 1 year of social science research experience; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Supervisory Relationships: The Research Project Manager will supervise the Project Coordinator.
