Position Summary
Dallas College is seeking an experienced, highly collaborative leader with a proven track record of enhancing academic quality, leadership excellence, diversity, equity and inclusion, and student success in a dynamic higher education environment. The Associate Dean of Curriculum, Assessment, and Portfolio Management (Catalog and Curriculum Operations):
Administratively manages the curriculum workflow process for the institution. Oversees activity related to college curriculum changes, while developing, producing, and maintaining the college catalog, its revisions, and updates. Serves as a main point of contact for DIGARC, including the new catalog, academic catalog management, and Curriculum, the curriculum management system. Assists with facilitation of curriculum-focused conversations between the institution and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB). Ensures curriculum and catalog workflow adheres to timelines and established processes.

Physical Requirements

Minimum Knowledge and Experience
• Master's degree or higher required in higher education, information systems, educational research, or project management
• Three (3) years of relevant work experience
• Three (3) years supervisory experience
• Current and valid Texas driver’s license required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the Catalog and Curriculum team within the Curriculum, Assessment, and Portfolio Management Office.
  • Responsible for successfully executing program initiation, program change, program review, and program elimination activities.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for all matters pertaining to catalog and curriculum activity.
  • Writes reports, and presents results to administration and other internal/external stakeholders.
  • Assists with facilitation of curriculum-focused conversations between the institution and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
  • Works closely with other divisions across the institution and DIGARC representatives to ensure seamless support of all curriculum processes.
  • Works closely with faculty and leadership on ensuring that faculty are informed about curriculum process and workflow.
  • Serves on College taskforces, committees, and councils as required.
  • Must complete required Dallas College Professional Development training hours per academic year.
  • Other duties may be assigned to this position on a regular or occasional basis to respond to needs of the institution.
