Educational and Experience Requirement:High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent. Two years relevant clerical experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position:Performs complex clerical duties for Alumni Relations.
Primary Responsibilities:Performs complex clerical functions to include data and document processing and provides general customer service. Answers correspondence and types letters, memorandums, reports, and other materials. Generates thank you letters for sponsorships, recognition, alumni and donors. Writes letters to scholarship recipients and job applicants. Maintains and updates policy and procedures manual for the office of Alumni Relations. Answers incoming calls, greets guests and receives and distributes incoming mail. Runs standard reports and maintains files. Assembles and organizes materials. Scans important documents and memos that come into the office and puts them into the appropriate folder. Orders flowers and awards. Maintains folders and binders for annual nominations for service awards, distinguished alumni, board of directors, and job applicants. Assists staff with reconciling event revenue and expense reporting. Assists with data entry into the University’s alumni database. Assists the administrative associate as back-up for processing purchase orders, travel requisitions, and travel expense reports and reconciling P-Card transactions and statements. Assist the Administrative Associate with scholarship reconciliations, reporting, and committee meetings. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:Requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
