Educational and Experience Requirement:Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Four years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Experience in Higher Education is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position:Performs advanced and complex administrative support duties for a department, college or division.
Primary Responsibilities:Performs administrative assignments as directed by the Director of Budget. Administers, as assigned, the planning and coordination of complex projects where inefficiency may result either in financial loss or embarrassment to the project, the office, and/or the institution as a whole. Conducts research as may be required for preparation and dissemination of information relating to assigned duties. Exercises considerable judgment in the interpretation of policy and the application of procedures, techniques, or practices to assignments. Plans, coordinates, and follows through to completion the total process involved in the preparation of designated divisional and departmental budgeting to include analysis and forecasting, purchasing review and preparation. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:Duties require coordination with University faculty and staff; non-academic personnel; college/division/department/program administrators; and others, as required. Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Director of Budget.
