ECU is currently seeking an Underwriting Manager. This is a competitive sales job, ideal for students seeking a career in broadcast sales and marketing. Student Media is currently seeking a WZMB Underwriting Manager. The underwriting manager reports directly to the Advertising & Marketing Administrator and works with the Agency & WZMB to generate revenue.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

•Solicits advertisements from customers for all Pirate Media 1 publications, with a particular focus on underwriting for WZMB from donors.

•Understands and communicate policies as they pertain to FCC regulations.

•Coordinates and collects donations.

•Assists Agency sales team in meeting monthly sales goals.

•Maintains a record of donor accounts in the Agency database and reconciles them monthly with the Student Media Administrative Associate.

•Work with the WZMB station manager to schedule DJ’s for rate card distribution and soliciting.

•Attends Agency sales deadlines at 4 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays.

Preferred (Majors, Experience, GPA, etc.):

Interested applicants must be a student currently enrolled at East Carolina University, possess and maintain a minimum 2.25 GPA and be in good disciplinary and academic standing with ECU.
