Physical Requirements:

Lift/carry up to 50 lbs; sit/stand for long periods; and working with youth and animals.

Shift:

Primarily Days; Monday-Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; and the position requires some evenings and weekends, as well as travel for events.

Job Summary:

Position leads the youth development activities related to horses and supports adult extension program. Duties include, but not limited to: develop materials to assess program, summarize information, in cooperation with volunteers, youth & agents, develop and implement needed programs. Coordinate KY participation to Southern Regionals, QH congress, Eastern Nationals, provide coaching to individuals and teams, includes department team. Update materials, develop new materials, manage and maintain the 4-H Horse website, 4-H Horse Achievement program levels manual. Other duties as assigned.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

MS Windows, Html, Excel, Word, PDF, PowerPoint, basic photo and video editing skills, and Publisher.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :

No

Preferred Education/Experience:

Experience around horses is strongly preferred. Driver’s License Preferred.
