Physical Requirements:Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds, or standing/walking and sitting for long periods of time.
Shift:Monday – Friday day shift.
Job Summary:The Nurse Clinical Ambulatory provides disease specific patient care to a group of patients who have serious acute and/or chronic health events or who are seeking healthcare to maintain their state of wellness.
Responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to skilled assessments, care plans and care plan implementation, patient education and clinical evaluation or interventions.
This position requires working with medical professionals who are working under time and efficiency constraints in a busy ambulatory care setting with a patient centered care focus on quality, safety, and service.
A working knowledge of enterprise, nursing, departmental policies, protocols, and procedures is needed to be successful.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:Basic computer knowledge, MS Windows, Word, Outlook. Superb direct patient care and critical thinking skills; basic computer navigation skills and working knowledge of the internet; ability to communicate with patient families and provider/peer team. Communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :No
Preferred Education/Experience:ADN or BSN plus one or more years with pediatric care preferred.
