Position Summary:

The Office of Global Engagement is seeking a part-time employee (28 hours/week) to assist with content development for an online virtual instruction project funded by the United States Department of State. As part of a team, the candidate will support the delivery of virtual instruction to 2000 mid-career professionals from across Africa.

Key responsibilities will include:
Formatting and proofreading instructional materials, including PowerPoint, Word documents, and video lecture materials; Assisting program staff with communications and module preparation; Quality control and content testing; Assembling materials and communicating with UGA faculty regarding format guidelines and relevant deadlines; Communicating with course participants as directed; Monitoring discussion board content; and other duties as assigned.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:

Experience with online learning management systems and online discussion boards, preferably UGA’s ELC. A strong grasp of Adobe Suite applications including Premier Pro is a plus. French or Portuguese language skills are not required but would also be beneficial.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :

Microsoft Office: Word/Excel/Power Point. The candidate will be working in a team setting, so demonstrated organization and communication skills are important. Ability to self-monitor and manage time.
