Position Summary:The Department of Psychiatry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine is seeking a psychiatrist to work at the WakeBrook campus in Raleigh, NC on the inpatient unit. The 28 bed inpatient unit primarily serves individual with severe and persistent mental illness. In addition to the inpatient unit the campus has a Crisis and Assessment Service, a 16 bed Facility Based Crisis unit, a 16 Bed Addiction Detox Unit, and an integrated primary care program. This is a full-time fixed term (clinical) position at rank commensurate with experience. The major expectation for these positions will be the provision of evidence based direct behavioral health care to residents of North Carolina with a variety of psychiatric and substance use conditions.
Educational Requirements:Applicants must have an MD, be BC/BE, and be eligible for North Carolina licensure.
Qualifications and Experience:The successful candidate will have strong clinical skills and experience working with a multi-disciplinary team, including trainees from a variety of disciplines. Candidates should have clinical experience working with the severe and persistently mentally ill, and substance using patients.
