leadership, operational management, strategic development, and coordination for all marketing and
communication strategies for the Division of Student Affairs general office and the four portfolio areas
of focus: (1) Health and Wellness, (2) Student Engagement, (3) Career Readiness and (4) Diversity and
Inclusion.

The director will work closely with each unit to develop and manage communication plans or DSA-led
University-wide initiatives and other campus partners to ensure consistency. Will also serve as a liaison
working with University Communications and other university community partners to develop marketing
and communication material to support DSA Development campaigns.

The director will lead and coordinate assessing current marketing trends and developing workshops and
training for marketing representatives throughout the division to ensure services are timely and effective
to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.Qualifications Bachelor's degree and six years experience related to media, communications, and/or marketing services; or a combination of post high school education or equivalent and experience equal to ten years. (Note: A higher level of education may substitute at the equivalent rate)

Strong understanding of organizational dynamics, including group and individual interactions and sensitivities, and experience in navigating complex organizations.

Excellent project management skills and the ability to adapt balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines.

Experience in personnel management to include hiring, supervising, and coaching employees.

Experience with developing and implementing marketing strategies and plans, to include media and email campaigns.

Ability to identify existing and potential obstacles, issues, and opportunities; evaluate processes; and develop change or alternatives.

Ability to foster a collaborative work environment, utilize sound judgment, and promote high ethical standards.

Ability to work effectively with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students while promoting equity and inclusion.

Ability to plan and implement programs and activities.Preferred A master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of directly related work experience; a terminal degree is preferred.
