Job Description:

•Provide academic and career advising to online students via Zoom, web, email, telephone, and in person
•Monitor academic progress, including probation, honors, and progression through degree requirements
•Utilize campus resources and assessments to provide career advising to online students
•Serve as liaison to other key students services offices at UF (i.e., Admissions, Registrar, Financial Services, Financial Aid, Disability Resources, Bookstore) for students at a distance
•Handle Zoom, email, phone and in-person inquiries from prospective students and advise or refer them appropriately
•Manage technology related to advising, and communicating with a diverse population of online students
•Work with UF’s admissions and advising systems and Online Business program databases
•Coordinate with Guild Education to develop advising support for working populations
•Support collaboration with corporate partners to recruit and advise students

•Coordinate and/or participate in program related events (i.e. Orientation, Graduation, LEEP (Leadership Education and Experiential Program) REACH (Redefining Engagement and Careers at Heavener), HCW (Heavener Career Week))
•Assist with development of and participate in virtual orientations for online students each semester
•Develop and maintain innovative extracurricular engagement opportunities for the online business student population
•Manage the tracking database and processes for the online programs
•Coordinate recruitment for online graduate programs with partnering Hough programs
•Manage the retention efforts for students in the online business program

•Teach section(s) of ‘Warrington Welcome’ freshman orientation class as needed
•Assist with Freshman and LINKS Preview as needed
•Other duties as assigned by the Director of Academic Support Services

Expected Salary:

$50,000 - $52,530

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree in education, counseling, or an academic field directly related to the advisor’s area of responsibility and one year of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in education, counseling, or an academic field directly related to the advisor’s area of responsibility and two years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prefer experience in the field of education, counseling, psychology, or a related area.
