The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics seeks a Laboratory Specialist in epigenetics/epigenomics to work in Dr. David Auble’s laboratory. A highly motivated candidate will have the opportunity to generate high throughput sequencing data from primary human cells in healthy and diseased states as well as cells and tissues from animal models and tissue culture. Depending on interest, there is an opportunity to learn and apply computational approaches for data analysis. This work will lead to greater insights into how the environment impacts human cell function. The ideal candidate will have laboratory experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, and/or genetics. Experience with ChIP-seq, RNA-seq or other high throughput DNA sequencing assays is a plus.

This is a restricted position; continuation is dependent on funding and satisfactory performance.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience. 6 years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
