Primary Function:

The International and Global Studies Program of The University of the South invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor to begin August 2021.

 

 

Typical Duties & Responsibilities:

The teaching load will be 6 full courses, including IGS departmental requirements and electives in the successful candidate’s area of specialty.

 

Education:

Candidates with Ph.D. in hand at the time of appointment are preferred.

 

 

Experience:

We seek candidates with a background in globalizing processes such as migration, diasporic community formation, social movements, media and cultural production, human trafficking, and/or informal economies. World region is open, but preference will be given to those whose work is focused on the Middle East.

 

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

 

Work is primarily performed in an office, classroom, lecture hall, auditorium, laboratory, and other University facilities.
