Position SummaryThis is a software application developer position for the Office of Admissions; will analyze, develop, prepare, and document complex Web sites and computer programs and participate in analysis, design, and review of business processes; consults with, trains, and assists end users; involves programming, application development, interface design, application design, database design, system and database maintenance; participates in all phases of projects, from needs analysis and project design through coding, testing, and implementation; will be responsible for support of software, works with a team to solve difficult technical problems; works with current development team on project assignments as well as individual assignments; meets with clients to discuss current problems and suggest future enhancement and procedures.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in complex technology projects featuring the extensive use of object-oriented technologies; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired QualificationsSoftware application developer experience, integration/interface tools, and change management experience; HTML, XHTML, CSS, SQL, XML, MS SQL or Oracle. Technical background in system administration, database and/or application support; Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills; Ability to execute complex work assignments; Adhere to security and regulatory standards; Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work and lead in a dynamic, cross functional team environment.
